Congratulations to Zhen for his new paper in CMP. Using metapelitic samples from the garnet and the staurolite zones of Longmenshan (SW China), he lead research that combines petrography, garnet chemical zoning, and thermodynamic calculations to examine the effects of a delayed progress of the staurolite-forming reaction.
